| Ventnor Field Trip - Jane Palmer - 12/10/2007
A very foggy start to the day for 17 students from 5B as they headed out on their trip to Ventnor. The weather though, didn't deter the excitement of the students and their teachers Mrs Brodie and Mrs White from having a great time. The students were off to Ventnor as part of their studies on costal landscapes. They were joined for the day by a guide from the Educational Field Trip Team to explain the costal work preservation undertaken at Ventnor, and to explain to students how coasts are formed and maintained. Racism by Taz Whiston Hello ladies and gentlemen. It is nice to see so many of you here today. Let's keep in mind, I'm not going on about a group of children, running for their lives up the school field trying to win first place on sports day. No! I'm on about the human race and the basic information on the subject. Race means a group of animals in...

| The Earliest Olympic Games - Jane Palmer - 10/6/2007
Did you know - The earliest Olympic Games were held in about 776BC. In those days the only event was a short sprint, from one end of the stadium to the other. Gradually over the years more were added until there were four days of many different competitions. Most spectators had to find somewhere to pitch their tents or sleep rough, but important visitors and athletes had special accommodation. It would have been very hot and overcrowded, and the water supply was poor. It didn't stop people coming though! Only men, boys and unmarried girls were allowed to attend the Olympic Ga...
